The primary duties of the position include, but are not limited to: the supervision, daily operation, and maintenance of the Kevin Bell Arena, located in Homer, Alaska. Specific duties also include maintaining a safe, hazard-free environment; budget preparation with HHA President and Bookkeeper, and invoicing user groups; coordinating all rink maintenance and use scheduling, inspections, ice and snow removal, and yearly license renewals; coordinating regular maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems, and of associated ice arena equipment; installation, repair and replacement of dasher boards, banners and plexi-glass; assist as needed in the planning/scheduling of all on-ice activities; manage volunteers and staff; marketing and advertising; ordering rink equipment and supplies; Zamboni operation and maintenance; responsible for rink cleanliness; and preparing rink status reports for all board meetings. Working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of Zamboni, Dry-Air Units, compressors, condenser units, boilers, and skate sharpener is preferred.
